Naples, Fla.-based Benseron Information Technologies Inc. launched Bevo Charisma during the International Franchise Expo held recently in New York City. Built from the ground up, this POS system was designed for franchise owners in the restaurant and retail industries.
The new system is the result of over a decade of POS systems development. "My business came into existence because I was called in to fix a franchisee's single-store system," said Onur Haytac, Chief Executive Officer of Benseron. "I ended up fixing 400 other stores, too. Knowing it could be done so much better, I needed to first learn what really was required of a franchise POS, so I bought a franchise and the rest is history." He founded Benseron in 2004.
Beyond 24/7 support, touch-screen ordering and printing of orders in the kitchen, restaurant franchisors have access to comprehensive data analytics. "From specific details about server performance (who best up-sells dessert or drinks), to vital customer information (Mr. J always does business dinners on Wednesday and offers guests wine X), Bevo analytics offer franchise owners an unprecedented depth of access into the finest details of the operation," the company stated.
Charisma was configured on Bevo's software and hybrid technology, which allows businesses to accept and process payments on handheld tablet devices, while simultaneously updating sales information in a cloud-based database. Other capabilities include inventory management and analytics showing returns, refunds and discounts. And it integrates with gift card, online ordering, accounting software and other business applications.

The company also reported that the Charisma terminal houses an industrial-grade motherboard, dual core processor, solid state drive, LED touch-screen and smart battery to ensure uninterrupted service. "We develop the software, manufacture the hardware, host the cloud and provide support in-house; that's the only way to make a system this revolutionary," Haytac said.
