Let's disburse that $7.25 billion

I was wondering if you could direct me to any (or what you consider to be the best) industry tradeshows for credit card processors and associated businesses to attend. The reason my colleagues and I are looking to attend those types of shows is to partner with merchant processors in filing refund claims for their client base from the $7.25 billion Visa/MC payment interchange settlement.

Because the opt-out deadline of May 28, 2013, has passed, any merchant that hasn't opted out is eligible to file a refund claim. If they do not file for a refund, they will still be bound by the terms of the settlement upon final approval.

Neal,

Yours is a worthy endeavor, indeed. We list all upcoming tradeshows in our online calendar at www.greensheet.com/datebook.php?flag=calendar_display. Also, some of the best tradeshows are put on by the regional acquirers associations. These include:

And be sure to check out the Electronic Transactions Association's shows at www.electran.org. The next expo is in April 2014 in Las Vegas.

I hope this helps you find partners who can work with you to get settlement money into merchants' hands.
