Single access point to suite of business capabilities

Product: Payments Hub
Company: North American Bancard Holdings LLC

North American Bancard Holdings LLC, a payment solutions provider, recently launched Payments Hub, a business command center designed to provide a single access point to an array of business management solutions. These include advanced reporting features and a virtual terminal to support omnichannel commerce. “Our priority is to create easy-to-use solutions that can help merchants manage and grow their business,” said Marc Gardner, founder, president and CEO of North American Bancard. “Payments Hub is an initial, vital step as we build a robust ecosystem for small and medium-sized merchants to accelerate the transformation of their business through technology.”

Zavida Mangaru, NAB executive vice president and head of product strategy, innovation and marketing, added, “Over the years, NAB has been focused on amassing tools for merchants and bolting them together to create a seamless and engaging merchant experience. Merchants can access this platform of capabilities anywhere, anytime and manage their businesses in more efficient ways.”

Powered by PayAnywhere

Mangaru pointed out that Payments Hub is built on NAB’s PayAnywhere technology platform and includes many of the same features as PayAnywhere Inside, a proprietary portal designed for NAB’s mobile merchants. NAB will continue to add features as the company builds out the PayAnywhere platform, Mangaru noted. This will provide a continuous processing experience for merchants who use the all-in-one resource for a variety of business management activities.

Following is a sampling NAB provided of the Payments Hub platform’s available attributes:

  • Advanced reporting features: Merchants can view sales volume, transactions, batch and deposit data in real time, exporting a variety of reports when needed from a customizable dashboard.
  • Billing and invoice management: Merchants can email invoices to customers with embedded online interface to facilitate immediate remittance. The brandable, customizable interface supports a variety of invoicing and recurring billing schemes.
  • Virtual terminal: Merchants can use a web browser with access to a virtual terminal for payment card acceptance.
  • Customer profile management: Merchants can update customer profiles and account information using an exportable customer directory.
  • Advanced data analytics: Merchants can gain insights by observing customer purchasing habits.
  • Customized alerts: Merchants can create customized alerts based on payment card volumes, batches or other defining characteristics.
  • Employee management: Merchants can manage permission levels for employees who access the Payments Hub, based on individual employee status and assigned roles.
  • Chargeback management: Merchants can manage chargebacks and cardholder disputes at every stage by setting up a series of alerts for each required action. They can add comments to the data fields and upload attachments when documentation is needed.
  • Supply ordering and equipment warranty management: Merchants can view their order history and supply levels on the Hub and order hardware, printer paper and miscellaneous supplies.

Delivering speed, convenience

“Speed and convenience are the catalysts of retail innovation, but small and midsize merchants are frequently left out of the equation,” Mangaru said. “Without the right tools and capabilities, it doesn’t matter how much merchants do for consumers. When their customers want to order online and pick up in-store, merchants need real-time delivery and logistics management to participate in global commerce and compete with large chains.”

Mangaru stated that convenience means different things to different people. For example, subscription service models, such as short-term rentals and food delivery services, add convenience while removing friction and reducing overhead. Payments Hub’s assortment of real-time tools and services enable merchants to participate in the subscription economy and omnichannel commerce affordably, without making a large, upfront investment, she added.

The concept of customer loyalty extends beyond coupons and offers, Mangaru noted. “Merchants earn customer loyalty every time they remove friction from commerce,” she said. “When they offer convenience and reliability, their customers will keep coming back.” end of article
