Nominations due soon for ETA awards

Know someone whose work has made a significant contribution to the Electronic Transactions Association or the payments industry in general? You've got a chance to make your appreciation known by nominating that individual or company for an ETA award.

All ETA members are eligible to submit nominations, which are due by Mon., March 14, 2011.

The ETA will recognize awardees in several categories on May 10 during the ETA Annual Meeting & Expo, to be held from May 10 to 12 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront hotel in San Diego.

ETA awards are presented to individuals and organizations that have demonstrated an exceptional level of support for the association. Industry awards go to organizations and individuals whose actions have helped to "move the industry forward while demonstrating high ethical standards," according a statement from the ETA.

Several areas of recognition

The ETA Awards categories include:

  • Business Partner of the Year
  • Committee of the Year
  • Committee Volunteer of the Year
  • Member of the Year

The Industry Awards and Recognition categories include:

  • ISO of the Year
  • Technology Innovation
  • Distinguished Payments Professional
