Payment firms named Inc. 2024 Regionals

Congratulations are in order. Inc. unveiled its 2024 regional honorees on Feb. 27, 2024. The list included numerous payment companies among the fastest growing firms in the Pacific (170), Southwest (162), Rocky Mountain (72), Midwest (172), Southeast (223), Mid-Atlantic (135) and Northeast (198) regions. With combined revenues of $75.9 billion, these 1,132 companies added 96,129 jobs to the U.S. economy, fueling growth throughout the 2020 to 2022 evaluation period.

To qualify, Inc. Regional contenders must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit organizations, Inc. representatives stated, noting that applicants must have been founded and generating revenue before March 31, 2020. Minimum revenue requirements are $100,000 for 2020 and $1 million for 2022.

Noting that Inc. has ranked companies by revenue growth for more than 40 years using Inc. 5000 metrics, the company created a separate category for early-stage companies, noting that many were hiring employees at times when other enterprises were announcing layoffs.
