Wnet, PSCU expand diversity, channel reach

Women’s Network in Electronic Transactions (Wnet), disclosed Dec. 20, 2021, that it has partnered with PSCU, a leading credit union service organization. In addition to fostering diversity and inclusion, the partnership will enable both organizations to drive growth and personal enrichment, stated Wendy Holliday, M.Ed., CAE and CEO at Wnet.

“Through this new corporate partnership with Wnet, PSCU further demonstrates their commitment to their female employees, the advancement of women, and diversity and inclusion in the industry,” Holliday said. “These efforts, and this new partnership, support our vision of a world where a woman’s potential is as unlimited as her ambition.”

Merry Pateuk, senior vice president, industry engagement, PSCU, agreed the new partnership will help make gender equality a reality in payments and financial services. “At PSCU, we strive to make an impact both within our organization and throughout our industry by supporting, inspiring and empowering women,” she said.

Strategic partnership priorities

PSCU, a leading credit union service organization (CUSO), supports over 1,900 financial institutions that collectively generate more than 6.9 billion transactions annually. PSCU’s payment processing, risk management, data and analytics, loyalty programs, digital banking, marketing, strategic consulting and mobile platforms help deliver possibilities and seamless member experiences, PSCU representatives stated.

PSCU further noted its contact centers provide 24/7/365 member support through contact centers throughout the United States. Committed to service excellence and innovation, the organization stated it has represented credit unions and their members for more than 40 years, helping them securely grow and meet evolving consumer demands.

Wnet representatives agreed that expanding reach in paytech and enriching personal careers are key areas of focus at Wnet and formed the basis for Wnet's 2021 Strategic Priorities. Led by Wnet president Mary Uslander, who serves as senior vice president at Fiserv, the far-reaching initiative promotes world-class national and regional programming, networking opportunities and mentorship programs.

Expanding channel reach

Maggie Sokolov, Wnet vice president, business development and corporate relations, stated she is pleased to open Wnet to a new partner channel and engage credit union service organizations. “PSCU is the first of many and represents a strategic expansion as we grow our footprint and continue to serve companies in the fintech and payments ecosystem, with a focus on advancing women in leadership and DEI in the workplace,” she said.

Wnet representatives pointed out that 2021 marks the fifteenth year that Wnet has been investing in women, an important milestone for the organization following its 2006 launch. As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, Wnet serves thousands of women internationally, they added, providing personal enrichment regardless of age, gender or career status.
