NEAA just around the corner

No matter what time of year it is, the volunteers working behind the scenes for the industry’s highly regarded trade associations are always devising ways to support the industry’s feet on the street in a real so full of innovation it can be difficult to stay abreast of changes. Right now, in addition to the extra activities that typically come with the year-end holiday season, the Northeast Acquirers Association is also busy planning it’s next event.

The NEAA will be hosting the first regional trade association of 2018 from Jan. 29 through 31 at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Conn. The longest running regional event in the payments sphere, the coming conference has been approved for up to six Electronic Transactions Association Certified Payments Professional credits. Three levels of registration include: Attendee, Vendor and Industry Expert.

The NEAA encourages community input, so payment professionals can voice their preferences on what they’d like to see emphasized at the event. Those with ideas for speakers and seminar topics are encouraged to contact Donna Embry at donnae@gopai.com .

In addition to a host of informative presentations and networking opportunities, the NEAA will be introducing a new program with this show: Catapuls 2018. It is a competition aimed at showcasing new, disruptive products for the acquiring industry, the NEAA said. Working in collaboration with the ETA, competitors will “will not only have the chance to earn prize money and bragging rights, but will also receive complimentary exhibit space in the Payments Next Zone at TRANSACT, Powered by ETA,” the association stated. That event will take place at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas from April 17 to 19, 2018.
