Corporate learning center to debut at NACHA conference

NACHA ‒ The Electronic Payments Association has something new in store for attendees at the upcoming Payments 2017 conference: launch of the Mutual of Omaha Bank Corporate Learning Center. NACHA said the center will provide specialized education for payments professionals from business, state and local government, higher education, and charitable and religious organizations.

The annual conference, which will take place this year at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas, from April 23 to 26, 2017, is the definitive destination for faster payments, NACHA stated. "NACHA regularly engages businesses to discuss their payments needs and experiences through our Corporate Relations Program," said Janet O. Estep, President and CEO of NACHA.

An outgrowth of that program the Corporate Learning Center will be a "comprehensive resource for corporate end users who want to understand the opportunities the latest payments advancements, such as Same Day ACH and real time [payments] present to their own business, as well as their customers and clients," Estep noted.

Created in 1974 by several automated clearing house (ACH) associations collaborating to establish a set of rules and regulations, NACHA has since become the ACH network's governing body. "Throughout all of our growth, the safety and security of electronic payments has always been the first priority," NACHA stated.

NACHA is offering discounted a registration rate for Payments 2017 to "professionals who are employed by a business, state/local government, charitable or religious organization, or higher education institution (or enrolled student) that originates and/or receives payments as a client of a financial institution or processor/solution provider." NACHA also released a newly updated edition of the Same Day ACH for Businesses Essentials Guide. The guide is available for free download on the NACHA website, www.nacha.org . end of article
