More space for exhibitors, incentives for attendees at WSAA

The Western States Acquirers Association is making room in the exhibit foyer for a limited number of additional table-top exhibitors at its 10th annual conference. The show will occur Oct. 8 and 9, 2013, at the Hyatt Regency Burlingame, which is adjacent to the San Francisco Airport and a short ride to the storied City by the Bay.

"We will create flow from the exhibit hall into the foyer by putting the photo booth into the foyer along with a bar and some food tables, which should create high traffic going back and forth," WSAA board member Steve Eazell wrote in an email update. "Signups will be first come, first served. These are extremely limited, so when they are gone, they are gone. A limited number of sponsorships are also available. Among the sponsorship perks are a 3' x 6' table and admittance to the show for two people. WSAA board member Xavier Ayala is the go-to guy for those. Phone or email him at 707-445-5401 or xayala@suddenlink.net.

Discounts and perks

WSAA has also created an incentive for attendees who register early. "We have a very exciting promotion to entice all of you to sign up immediately to attend the show," Eazell said. "Effective immediately, anyone that has signed up to attend this year's show will be receiving a refund of $50, and everyone that signs up until Sept. 1, 2013, will be able to sign up for the discounted rate of $49." He added that after Sept. 1, the price of admission will revert to $99.

Also, Eazell reminded folks that WSAA partnered with the Electronic Transactions Association to award 10 WSAA-paid scholarships to enable qualified ISOs and merchant level salespeople to take the Certified Payments Professional (CPP) exam by November 2013. "The scholarship is the very first of its kind and will pay the cost of the ETA CPP exam fee and will include the CPP study guide," Eazell noted. The deadline to sign up is Aug. 30.

Golfers will be pleased to know SecurityMetrics is sponsoring the organization's annual golf tournament, which will be held Tues., Oct. 8, at Harding Park in San Francisco. "We are setting up the tournament to be a scramble format with an 8 a.m. shotgun start," Eazell wrote. "Transportation to the course will be provided." WSAA will provide further details as they become available.
