GSQ's for the Year 2002:

GSQ v5n1

Looking Ahead -- An Industry Discussion of the ISO Opportunity

One of the things I most enjoy doing each year is talking with as many ISOs and other industry participants as I can and seeing how they view the new year's opportunities. There are several reasons that this effort is so much fun to work on, but the most significant reason is the strong sense of optimism that comes through the interviews and discussions with industry participants each year. Because of this, I always come away from working on this effort enriched and invigorated, and this year is no exception. (pdf file is 3.07 Mb in size)

US Check Authorization Marketplace

In 1659, when Mr. Dalboe wrote the earliest check on record for four hundred pounds to a London goldsmith, Dalboe could never had conceived the multi-billion dollar industry that has become the largest non-cash payment method for consumers today. (pdf file is 4.68 Mb in size)

Feet on the Street

In February 2000 we published our first "Feet on the Street" issue of GSQ, the first-ever report attempting to size and profile this industry channel we've come to call "ISO." For the purposes of that report and this update, we have defined an Independent Sales Organization (ISO) as any non-bank organization that is offering bankcard acquiring services on behalf of a financial institution through registered or unregistered sales agents or employees. GSQ v5n4

The 5th Annual Equipment Report

Our premier issue of GSQ ("POS Terminals Today," February 1998), stood the industry on its ear. The first-ever publication of list pricing for these devices resulted in acrimonious language and threats of lawsuits. The "buzz" it generated in the ISO community changed the industry. With this issue, we have chosen not to publish pricing. The competition now is centered around reliability, customer service and ease of use. (pdf file is 5.25 Mb in size)

GSQ LEADS ISOs IN RIGHT DIRECTION

ISOs/MLSs have a guide to steer them through these confusing times of ever changing technology, policies and procedures. Since February 1998, when the first issue of GSQ: The Payment Systems Authority was published, GSQ has served as a sales tool offering in-depth analyses of the financial services community.

A four-color, glossy trade publication for the payment systems industry, GSQ issues have covered POS equipment, Internet commerce, electronic check presentment, acquiring banks, rankings of bankcard merchant acquiring organizations, benchmarks throughout the industry and profiles on independent sales organizations.

Discussions are targeted to the ISO/MLS, focusing on the burgeoning sales opportunities open to sales professionals, while translating the techno-speak into the kind of sales-speak that you can use to advantage. Display advertising is available.
