Imperial Bank and CyberSource Corp., a developer and provider of real-time e-commerce transaction services, have formed a strategic marketing alliance to support secure online payment capabilities for Web merchants.

Through this alliance, Imperial Bankís Merchant Services Division will expand its e-commerce services to include the CyberSource Internet Commerce Suite, including real-time payment services, fraud screening, tax calculation, and delivery and address verification.

By referring to CyberSourceís e-commerce services, Imperial Bank's Internet merchants will be able to establish complete, automated electronic storefronts that minimize their exposure to credit card fraud. Imperialís clients may take advantage of the bankís preferred rates for the CyberSource Internet Commerce Suite on a per-transaction basis.

John Allen Tharpe, vice president and e-commerce specialist at Imperial's Merchant Services Division said, "Through this alliance, our Web clients now have access to an integrated, scalable, and robust payment engine, sophisticated fraud screening technology that ensures secure, real-time payment capabilities, coupled with back-end fulfillment house integration."
