First Data Grows

 

First Data Merchant Services recently announced that Peoples Heritage Bank and M&T Bank have renewed their processing agreements with FDMS and signed new long-term contracts. Both banks recently acquired financial institutions and those merchant portfolios will be converted to First Dataís merchant processing system in Omaha as well.

The new portfolios are expected to generate more than 9 million transactions per year, valued at $950 million in sales volume.
