First Data Merchant Services Corporation has deployed 8,000 of VeriFoneís OmniPak POS bundled payment systems and 2,000 of VeriFoneís Omni 470 POS terminals to retail outlets and restaurants nationwide.
Furthermore, engineers from VeriFone and FDMS have worked together to develop an enhanced version of SoftPay software for the OmniPak that includes faster synchronous protocol support, control of the terminalís software from the authorization host, and dozens of additional merchant selected options.
