Internet
Banking
According to
Odysseyís Homefront survey, on-line banking is not taking off
as bankers had hoped. The market research firm found that while half
of those surveyed use the web to learn about electronic banking, only
15 percent have actually used on-line banking.
Nick Donateillo,
president of Odyssey said, "Discount brokers have figured out that if
they pass some of the savings associated with on-line transactions to
the consumer, theyíll attract customers faster. Most banks and
credit card companies appear to lack this insight. In fact, some
banks are foolish enough to think they can charge consumers for
lowering the bankís transaction costs."
It appears that
consumers are holding the (credit) cards and they know
it!
