Open Market, Inc., (a provider of Internet commerce software) and VeriFone. Inc., have announced an agreement in which VeriFone's vPOS Internet payment software is integrated with Open Market's Transact Internet commerce software and sold through Open Market's sales channels.
The integration links merchants with financial institutions more easily, and does not require them to change their existing financial relationships.
Gary Eichhorn, president and CEO of Open Market said, "Through this partnership, our customers will be able to use VeriFone's merchant software to route transactions to financial institutions around the world, safely and securely."
With the agreement, Open Market can now support a broader base of merchants who wish to interface with the world's leading financial institutions utilizing VeriFone's vGATE software. VeriFone will benefit by gaining access to Open Market's customers.
