Hypercom Corporation and Global Payments Systems, a top-five payment processor, have announced that Global has certified Hypercom's T77 terminal with integrated printer. Global will provide full service and support for the T77 to their more than 750,000 merchants and Global's acquirer customers, as well as sell the T77 directly to their merchants.
Heidi Goff, executive vice president of strategy and market development for Global said, "The T77 gives our clients the flexibility to process multiple card types, including smart cards."
Global currently delivers two applications on the T77, Global Retail T7 and Global Dining T7. Both take advantage of the terminal's ability to:
- Authorize all major credit and debit cards
- Perform check verification and guarantee
- Support cash-back transactions for debit cards
- Initiate reports and other terminal functions with one touch of a key
The T77 has a full-sized receipt and report printout, as well as support for draft capture, debit, check, and proprietary card processing. It also supports chipcard-based credit, debit, and stored-value cards.
