GO Software, Inc.,
has released PC-ChargeT Version 3.1, its newest credit card
processing software product. Version 3.1 is a 32-bit credit card
processing application and engine for Windows 95 and Windows NT, and
is also available as a 16-bit application for Windows 3.x
users.
According to GO,
PC-Charge is certified with virtually all the major credit card
processing companies, so merchants can process all major credit cards
through their existing bank relationship.
Version 3.1 uses ISDN
transaction processing which eliminates call setup and modem
negotiation and reduces transaction time to approximately five
seconds. The new version has a laser printer receipt form and is
designed to be mailed with a standard window envelope. It also
provides a configurable coupon designed to generate repeat business.
According to David J. Jilk, President, "Innovative features like
these make software processing a compelling alternative to
traditional bank terminals."
New in this version
are host-based Telemoney, Royal Bank of Canada debit, Cashlane, NOVA,
NOVUS, and split-dial capabilities for American Express and Discover.
PC-Charge also supports a private-label technology: banks and service
providers can provide their own branding with a custom splash screen
and product name.
The Interface Kit
includes capabilities to fully integrate batch settlement into
third-party applications. New integration tools for Internet
merchants include a plug-and-play interface for the Microsoft
Commerce Server pipeline and new Web connectivity using ActiveX,
TCP/IP, and Active Server Page technology from Microsoft.
According to William
D. Pittman, Chief Technology Officer, "PC-Charge can now be
integrated into virtually any environment, from small stores to
complex networked systems and Internet merchants."
