Details On Equipment Providers
In our January 13 issue, we printed company summaries for the "ISOs Looking for Agents" section of our Resource Guide and have received extremely positive feedback from a number of subscribers indicating that the information was not only helpful, but quite timely.
In this issue, we are providing some in-depth information for the companies listed in the "Equipment" section of the Resource Guide, since we have received a number of inquires in this regard.
In our interviews, we found that most companies are independent businesses who don't perceive themselves as offering the same products as anyone else. These differences are demonstrated by the specialization each offers in a specific brand or service. A few companies were off-shoots of other businesses, proving that most, regardless of time in business, have a number of years of experience.
Despite each company's uniqueness, there are still similarities. For example, most consider themselves full-service businesses and claim to provide the lowest prices. Also, warranties of at least one year are relatively standard.

ATM SALES :
ATMG, Inc. (800)547-2293 sells, markets, and manages ATM machines. Offers special programs such as free ATM placement and location owned and operated. Recently joined forces with International Merchant Services (IMS) and Lynk Systems, Inc. ATMG united mini-ATM with the nation's largest processor and created one of the most cost effective ATM programs available. Distributes equipment.

XTRA Cash ATM (800)745-2758 ext. 1670 sells and leases Triton 9500, 9000 scrip machine, and NCR free-standing cash dispensing ATM machines. Nationwide maintenance programs. ISOs control 95% of surcharge. Commission earned on first sale and each transaction. Provides statements to merchants and toll-free support. Look to the end of March when the company plans to reward offices who prove selling ability by offering opportunity to place NCR 5840 in merchant locations.
MANUFACTURING :

Solutions offered include products in merchant countertop area and Internet and Consumer space. Manufacturing and distribution centers throughout North America; more than five million Transaction Automation systems shipped worldwide.
PAPER PRODUCTS :
Valdez Paper Products (800)798-7141 (www.valdezpp.com) sells paper and ribbons for the credit card and banking industry and cash register paper for the retail and grocery industries. Same day shipping on most orders. Products include sales slips, Hypercom paper, and Pen-plus paper. Also provides convenience packs for merchants or ISOs and gives kickback to ISOs (call for details). All products made in the USA and guaranteed for customer satisfaction.

Specializes in DataTran, EasyTran, and Electronic Cash and Credit Registers. EasyTran provides instant card and check processing for PC and PC-POS users; ECCRs are ECRs with integrated card and check payment. DataTran provides card and check payment for any POS or ECR. Dial, ISDN, wireless supported. No exclusivity; ISOs set prices.

Provides equipment leasing, inventory management and depot maintenance programs. Features an extensive database of equipment available on the used market and an equipment locator service. Also brokers a variety of equipment. ISO sets equipment price; no exclusivity required.

Sells ATM, debit, and credit card equipment. Also sells, leases, and repairs equipment. Specializes in PC software, VeriFone, and Hypercom equipment. No exclusivity. Focuses on meeting the merchant's needs as well as those of ISOs and equipment vendors.
