Learning With Lucky
In many professions continued training, updates, and brush-ups are
required for continued certification. However, individuals who have
perfected their selling skills to become Professional Sales
Executives are often reluctant to put themselves in the learning role
once the have proven themselves in this profession.
It seems that we should all recognize that we CAN get better at
what we do, and more importantly, that a fresh look at the basics for
any professional can generate new ideas and reinforce our strengths.
A story reported by the London Daily Record says it another
way; "Lucky, a German shepherd guide dog, will be retrained and
given to a new blind owner."
"Lucky led his first owner in front of a moving bus, and the
second off the end of a pier," new trainer Ernst Gerber told the
newspaper. "He actually pushed his third owner off a railway
platform just as the Cologne-to-Frankfurt express was approaching,
and he walked his fourth owner into heavy traffic before running away
to safety."
Gerber said Lucky is "a damned good guide dog. He just needs to
brush up on some elementary skills."
