Readership Survey Results
The Green Sheet received an astronomical 13% response to
the Annual Readership Survey. The overwhelmingly positive response
showed us who our readers are, what they do, and what the want
fromThe Green Sheet in the future.
Who ReadsThe Green Sheet?
ISOs make up 58% of our readership and POS equipment vendors make
up 21%. Seventy percent (70%) of you sell Check Guarantee, while 55%
sell bankcard services. The Green Sheet is now mailed to 3,000
people bi-weekly and another 5,000 readers visit our Web site weekly
and spend an average of 45 minutes perusing the data.
Sixty-seven percent (67%) of our readers read every issue and 54%
find the information very useful. Sixty-two percent (62%) of our
readers generally agree with the Editorial Views expressed herein and
51% of our readership find the Editorial Comments most useful.
The Score Card
Eighty-three percent (83%) of respondents rated the writing as
"Very Good" or better, and 75% gave the layout an equivalent rating.
The vast majority of our readership find the charts and graphs
presented in The Green Sheet understandable.
Seventy-four percent (74%) of respondents incorporate information
from The Green Sheet into their sales presentations and
reports.
Over 95% of respondents would recommend he Green Sheet to
their business associates.
The Resource Guide
Sixty-seven percent (67%) of our readers have contacted at least
one of the companies listed in the Resource Guide. This information
service provided by *The Green Sheet has become one of the
most talked about resources in our industry. This listing continues
to grow exponentially, and those companies with e-mail addresses are
linked to our Web site. On-line readers can contact these companies
directly and easily by "clicking" on their e-mail or Web site
address.
Over 60 respondents requested information on being listed in the
Resource Guide, so watch for even more growth in the months to come.
Would you join or support an association designed exclusively
for ISOs SELLING in the Financial Service marketplace?
This question was by-far the most provocative question in our
survey. We were surprised with the overwhelmingly positive response.
Look for more developments in the months to come.
Motivation
Tom Hopkins and Zig Ziglar were the most often named motivational
resources.
Most respondents also read other Financial Services Industry
publications. However, a great many respondents requested
information on contacting the publications we listed. We have listed
these publications with contact information on page 5 of this issue.
The Future
An overwhelming majority of you expressed that you wish to see the
content ofThe Green Sheet remain the same. Sixty percent
(60%) want to see information on POS equipment, and dates and
information on upcoming shows and conventions in the Financial
Services Industry.
The Green Sheet recently added Tom Hopkins as a regular
contributor, look for his sales training articles in the future. As
we continue to improve, look for more and better information, thought
provoking Editorials, sales training articles, and business
opportunities.
