CDE Services, Inc., first entered the point-of-sales equipment market back in 1991 with a fresh approach that includes top quality repairs, custom packaging, fast turn around and a policy that the "customer is king." Over the past three years, CDE has become the largest independent POS equipment repair organization in the U.S. Currently, about 80% of the top merchant acquirers in the U. S. are CDE customers.


Before jumping into the fray, CDE took the time to visit many potential customers to ask what they wanted most from a repair vendor. The bottom line, they learned, was service and fair prices. Thus, CDE was the first repair company to offer flat rate pricing, a turn around time of only three to five days, "like new" product, full one-year warranties, prepaid freight and a very high level of customer service. In a market where equipment repairs have customarily been regarded as merely a headache, CDE softens the blow by actually adding significant value to repaired equipment.

CDE was also the first to provide custom packaging at no extra charge to larger customers. Banks, ISOs and processors can now send equipment to merchants in packaging customized with their name and logo. Additional customization options such as terminal lenses, printer covers, power packs and ribbon cartridges are also available.


From an operations standpoint, CDE has taken numerous steps to maximize economy and produce a quality product on a consistent basis. A unique repair/remanufacturing approach ensures production uniformity. This, combined with ongoing technical training of employees, has enabled CDE to achieve an equipment return rate of less than 1%.


Having earned a considerable share of the repair market, CDE has recently begun marketing a variety of tailor-made programs that enable their customers to completely get away from handling equipment, ranging from overnight deployment of replacement terminals to complete inventory management.
