Still wondering about the Internet's market opportunities? You may have heard guestimates on demographics, but O'Reilly & Associates Inc., a publisher in Sebastopol, California. (No, that's not Cesspool), says it will offer the first statistically defensible profile of the Internet during September.
Preliminary data indicates a higher percentage of women on the Net (34 percent) than previously thought. Two other points stand out: 52 percent of Internet users had 1994 household incomes of less than $50,000 and 43 percent work in corporations with 1,000 or more employees.
