CrediPort Partners with ERN/Nationwide
ERN, LLC, a point-of-sale (POS) manufacturer and check and credit card processor, has acquired 50% of CrediPort Systems, Inc. As you may know from Green Sheet issue 00:05:01 and the August 2000 issue of GSQ, CrediPort manufactures wireless check and card processing portable units. Both ERN and CrediPort have independently developed proprietary terminals and check readers
Rony Natanzon, president of ERN, and its divisions, Nationwide Check Service, Nationwide Credit Card Center, and Nationwide POS Leasing said, “This acquisition broadens our existing product line to enable our company to service any merchant in the stationary or wireless credit/check and POS arena on a national scale. Our goal is to rapidly deploy our innovative products and unique check processing service through our regional offices and through many more ISOs throughout the U.S.”
Philip D. Anderson, will remain President of CrediPort and will be responsible for the wireless units of both companies. Mr. Anderson will join the Board of ERN, LLC., and CrediPort will remain headquartered in Syracuse, while production will be moved to Baltimore.
Offices currently operate in New York City, Miami, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Houston, Dallas, and Baltimore. ERN plans to initiate international expansion by opening offices in Israel and Europe during the first quarter of 2001.
