If
you were at the ETA meeting, you may have visited Atomic Software’s
booth and heard that their Web Terminal product now supports
“card present” transactions. The Web Terminal can capture ABA
track 1 or 2 data. By doing so, these transactions qualify for the lower
“card present” rate.
What this means is that
more traditional retail merchants can include the Web Terminal in their
POS solutions. All transaction data is available via a standard browser on
Atomic’s secure payment service, iAuthorizer. The data is secure behind
multiple levels of security and can be downloaded, in a standard format,
into other business applications.
One of the key advantages
for retailers is that there can be multiple “terminals” processing
simultaneously. For example, in retail environments such as MO/TO or
multi-lane, Web Terminal is accessible via Internet Explorer. All
transaction data is accessible through a secure URL and standard browsers.
Exception item processing, such as returns or voids, are processed through
the merchant console. There is also a Pre-Auth manager feature that helps
merchants better manage Pre-Authorizations. The Pre-Auth manager provides
a way to force transactions and enter them into batches for settlement.
The merchant console also provides a variety of reports and search tools.
Atomic Software provides
electronic payment solutions to Internet, MO/TO, retail, and restaurant
merchants. For more information, contact Walter Murphy, VP of Business
