W
orldSite,
Inc., an Internet business developer, has signed a sales agent agreement
with TeleCheck Services, Inc. The agreement enables WorldSite to provide
Internet merchants the option of offering their customers the convenience
of paying for their online purchases with a check or making automatic
recurring payments using a checking account.
The
agreement allows WorldSite to include the TeleCheck Internet Check
Acceptance service and the TeleCheck Recurring PaymentSM
service as part of WorldSite’s turnkey electronic payment processing
solution. Both services will be part of ComBill, the company’s payment
processing system for Web businesses.
As
those of you who sell Internet check services know, by accepting checks
online, merchants can increase market share by offering an additional
payment method while increasing cash flow and eliminating C.O.D. problems.
Consumers benefit by receiving their merchandise quicker. Steve Shaper,
chief executive officer of TeleCheck stated, “Consumers and businesses
continue to seek ways of saving time and streamlining costs, which makes
online checking and recurring payments efficient and attractive payment
options.”
